During Lineapelle's next edition, in hall 14, an exhibition area dedicated to the circular economy in the tanning sector will be available to visitors.
The tanning industry already uses a waste of the food industry to produce one of the most valuable materials for the production of footwear, leather goods, furniture, etc.
In addition, this area will host and explain some of the processes that are part of the tanning sector's circularity: in fact, starting from potential wastes (trimmings, flesh, sewage sludge), the processes applied to produce jellies for food use (eg canned meat), collagen for cosmetic creams and biostimulants / fertilizers for agriculture, road foundations, pet toys etc.

On the first day will take place the conference presentation of the LEATHER (RE)CYCLING EXHIBITION.
On this occasion, some of the protagonists of the recovery chain of tanning scraps and wastes will present their experiences as case studies.
At the end of the meeting, best practices and technologies will be possible to discuss more in detail.
