«Coriacea» is, even before being an exhibition, the story of the culture of a place, a tradition handed down from father to son, a tale that tells the story of an ancient art capable of taking on new form.
«Coriacea» is an artistic project in the course of which twelve contemporary artists have produced their paintings on leather rumps, which are the most precious part of the very compact and homogeneous bovine raw hide.
When images and materials meet, they cause engagement and the bond between art and industry is gratifying, as well as the thought that the artists have “created” drawing inspiration from what our industry
produces every day.
An industry that can inspire through its materials.
Once again, the art of tanning becomes reality.
